Welcome from the Elected Mayor

For it's tenth anniversary, WISPA returns to its roots to create a major event here in the 'cité du maca, known as Wavre.
Informed of the project, its with enthusiasm that the town council and myself very quickly decided to put everything in our ower to support this event, therefore contributing substantially to its success.
Indeed, beyond the sporting competition and its inevitable fair-play, we were particularly drawn to the ambitious character of the organisation and the willingness shown to create various exchanges of friendship and an opening towards diversity proving he human and sporting adventure will be as one in all our hearts.
I would like to wish the various actors, participants, accompanists, organizers, volunteers, visiters.....to have a very memorable and pleasant stay here in the capital of the Brabant wallon province.

Pour son dixième anniversaire, la « WISPA » a souhaité retrouver ses racines et réaliser un événement majeur dans la cité du Maca.
Informés du projet, c’est avec enthousiasme que les membres du Collège communal et moi-même avons très rapidement décidé de tout mettre en œuvre pour soutenir cette initiative et contribuer ainsi de manière substantielle à sa réussite.
En effet, au-delà de la compétition sportive et de son inévitable fair-play, nous avons été particulièrement séduits par le caractère ambitieux de l’organisation et la volonté affichée d’en faire un espace d’échanges, de convivialité et d’ouverture à la diversité afin que l’aventure sportive et humaine soit inaltérable dans le cœur de tous.
Je souhaite aux différents acteurs : participants, accompagnateurs, organisateurs, bénévoles, visiteurs, … de passer un séjour agréable et mémorable dans le chef-lieu de la province du Brabant wallon.

The local Wavre police is very honoured to be associated with the organisation of WISPAWavre2010. Taking part in a WISPA event is always an exceptionnal moment and is the source of unforgettable experiences for everyone : participants, organizers, members of the suporting committee, officials, stewards, volunteers, supporters, sponsors... in short for those who are investing without counting, be they near or far they are contributing to the success of this project. The growing success of this "wavrian product" has not been down to chance and throughout the years, on experience acquired every new addition is a unique and different adventure but always with the seal of friendship, fellowship and friendliness.
In advance I would like to congratulate all the members of the organising committee - headed by Superintendent Luc Borlon - their heartfelt engagement, their vitality, proof of unlimited energy will make this tenth anniversary event an undeniable success.
Reading these few words and surfing on our site specially dedicated to this event I hope that you also will want to come and share in this truly esteemed sporting event.

La police locale de Wavre s’honore d’être associée à l’organisation de WISPAWavre2010. Participer à un événement WISPA est toujours un moment exceptionnel et est à la source d’instants inaltérables pour tous : participants, organisateurs, membres du comité de parrainage, autorités, staff d’encadrement, bénévoles, accompagnateurs, sponsors … bref pour toutes celles et tous ceux qui de près ou de loin s’investissent sans compter afin de contribuer à la réussite du projet.
Le succès grandissant de ce « produit wavrien » n’est pas l’effet du hasard et au fil des ans, sur base de l’expérience acquise, chaque édition nouvelle est une aventure unique et différente mais toujours empreinte d’amitié, de convivialité et de solidarité.
Je tiens d’ores et déjà à féliciter tous les membres de l’équipe organisatrice - avec à sa tête le Commissaire Luc Borlon - qui ont à cœur d’engager toute leur énergie et qui font preuve d’un dynamisme sans limite pour que cette manifestation du dixième anniversaire soit un succès incontestable.
En lisant ces quelques mots et au travers du site spécialement dédicacé à cet événement j’espère que vous aussi, vous aurez envie de partager cette véritable fête du sport et de l’estime mutuelle.

Welcome to our website !

The entire organising committee of WISPAWAVRE2010.com, are delighted to welcome you to our second Belgian event in our young but hugely important story of WISPA. It started in 1998 with the extraordinary task of putting together the first worldwide event in Wavre. The WavrePolice2000 was a brillant success and thanks to the encouragement, the motivation, the investment, of each and everyone the WorldWide-Indoor-Soccer-Police-Association (WISPA) was born. The spirit of friendship was formed and it's the invisible thread that has kept us together during the years. WISPA is synonymous for its heartfelt family.

Barcelona in '01, Barbados in '02, Durban in '03, Ottawa in '04, Porto Alegre in '05, Lyon in '06, Beijing in '07, Crimea in '08 and Auckland in '09, our Belgian name and reputation has gone from strength to strength, obtaining a far reaching effect for all the parties taken part, be it as a participant, a player, an authority or partner. Our family in its short history has proven its multi-culturism, its common cause, its independence and of course its intolerance towards any form of discrimation, be it race, colour, religious or political.

Our gatherings have varied and since 2003 we have distinguished our efforts with our philanthropical orientation. The money donated for seriously sick children will be ever present in our events. We are very proud of this approach and it will continue. This we are working hard for the 'télévie'.

We would like you to enjoy our site, its a platform for information whoever you may be, a spectator, a volunteer, a partner, participant and our foreign delegations. All details are here relating to participating and registration and up to date news. Windows containing thousands of little tibits of information, the history of WISPA during the last ten years, our major event in July 2010, various activities including those free of charge, the Police congress, the excursions, commentary from our WISPA presidents, the press book, sponsorship, and plenty of other information which we hope you will find usefull.

Impossible to name everyone who has been working hard in preparing this event but our thanks go to Charles Michel, Minister and town Elected Mayor of Wavre and to Gilbert Hardy, Major General and commanding officer of the Wavre Local Police, who believed without any doubt in staging this event in the Brabant Wallon.

We can never forget the spirit, the common cause, the thrust that has been shown to us by all the members of WISPA.

We are delighted once again to welcome you on Belgian soil.
You are all very Welcome,come and join us in this wonderful adventure in July 2010 !
